Azad University cyclists triumph in Iran’s Presidency Tour

TEHRAN - Iran’s Azad University cycling team finished at first place of the five-stage International Presidency Tour on Sunday.

Azad University took overall lead in the general classification with a time of 49 hours, 26 minutes and 39 seconds.
Tabriz Petrochemical came second clocking 49 hours, 43 minutes and 3 seconds.
Le Tua from Malaysia finished at third place with a time of 50 hours, 15 minutes and 59 seconds.
Golden jersey went to Samad Pour-Seiedi of Azad University cycling team with a time of 16 hours, 26 minutes and 45 seconds.
Libardo Nino Corredor from Malaysia’s Le Tua came second clocking 16 hours, 29 minutes and 6 seconds and Azad University’s Amir Zargari finished at third place with 16 hours, 30 minutes and 20 seconds.
“It’s for second time I took part in the tour and I think it was a good competition in term of technical points despite some deficiencies,” said Poor-Seiedi
